Selamat Siang!
My name is Cedric Lang. I’m 19 years old, and I’ll be starting my voluntary service in Indonesia at the end of August.
I’m from Erfurt in Thuringia, and I’m looking forward to sharing my experiences on this blog.
I will be carrying out my voluntary service on the island of Halmahera. Not many people have probably heard of this island, so here is a brief introduction. Halmahera is part of the North Moluccas, located in the north-east of Indonesia. The largest town on the island is Tobelo, where I will live and work.
I will be based at Universitas Halmahera, a university offering various degree programmes in Tobelo.
