Dear reader,

A warm welcome to my blog! I’m thrilled to be taking you with me on my journey to India. More specifically, I will be based in the coastal town of Udupi. From September, I will be working and living alongside children and young people with and without disabilities at a school there.

I’m Leonie, I’m 19 years old, and I recently completed my A-levels at a Waldorf school. After 13 years of school, exams, homework and classrooms, I now want to explore the world. I am therefore very grateful to have been given the chance to do just that with ‘ems’. I want to leave my home, where I have always felt safe and secure, and become more independent and take responsibility for myself.

I’m delighted that anyone is joining me on my journey, in whatever way, and I’m happy to answer any questions or comments. I’m now very curious and excited to see what the next 10 months have in store for me!
