Where the paperwork attacks first and the Easter bunny finishes you off.
Hi,
I’m Sharon Enzaletta, 24, from Tamil Nadu, India.
I’m a Master’s graduate, and I belong to Church of South India (CSI), ex-Rotarian and a long jump player. I love sketching, reading fantasy and adventures books, music, cycling. I have completed my Master’s degree. I live with my family — my father, my mother, my younger brother, and our dog Rotty 🐕.
For a long time, I wanted to step outside my comfort zone and use my time and talents to give back meaning to the society. While studying, I was involved in church activities like youth fellowship and volunteering, but my studies didn’t leave much space to go deeper. After graduating, I knew I wanted to spend time serving others, building a stronger character, and experiencing life in a new way.
Through my father and friends from church, I heard about EMS volunteering. I loved the idea immediately. Now, I am part of the South-North program and have been working as a volunteer for one year at the kindergarten Familienzentrum, Schillerstraße, in Heilbronn, Germany.
At first, I was really nervous because working with children was completely new to me. But by God’s grace, everything is going well and I’m learning every day. I want to use this time to understand German culture, try different food 😋, improve my language, make new friends, hit the road with adventures , broaden my mind, learn from mistakes, stay focused on my goal, love nature, respect one another, and keep discovering new things.
I’m so grateful for this opportunity. I want to give my best and enjoy every moment of it.
Excited for what’s ahead – I’ll be sharing my journey here. Come along! 😊
Mit freundlichen Grüßen
Sharon
